Issue
An Automotive OEM wanted to reduce the time it took to approve engineering changes. Any changes to their current process would impact thousands of engineers and vendors so it was imperative that a pilot be conducted first to ensure productivity gains.
Solution
We identified baseline metrics that would indicate process improvements. We modified a COTS (commercial-off-the-shelf) technology solution that would provide 90% of the needed functionality and trained a pilot group to use the new technology/process.
We launched a pilot and began collecting user feedback within 9 weeks.
